The Holiday Season is here, so make your plans to be at Molly’s for the Christmas Party. Mr. Moseley always makes it a fun night during the Chinese gift exchange. Maybe the Howard’s won’t get all the good ones this year. Hope to see you there.

I need anyone who wants to make a nomination for the Sportsman of the Year and Smooth Move awards to give me or any board member a call or e-mail with your ideas. We will be holding a hoard meeting before the Christmas Party to decide on this years winner.

GCGSPC Members:

Well, it has been an interesting couple of months with the hurricane’s damage. Last month was the first time Molly wasn’t able to send a newsletter ever. I hope this finds everyone recovering well without any serious problems. By the time of our next meeting our Hunt Test and GSPCA Nationals should be over, and I wish everyone well. We still have a vest to give away at the meeting, also a good program with Dr. Rich Wall DVM, so come support your club and tell your story about Hurricane Ike.

GCGSPC Members:

Summer is almost over, kids are getting ready for school and it’s time to get ready for hunting and trialing season again. Be careful of the heat and watch for snakes. Speaking of snakes the Desnaking went pretty good, weather wasn’t too bad and we had a good turnout. Gene can give the details at the meeting.

We have a lot to discuss at the meeting this month, so come join in. There is a Board meeting before the regular meeting at 7pm.

Bring your budgets.

GCGSPC Members:

I would like to take this opportunity to let you guys know that I really think we have the best GSP Club in the nation. We have shown it this year with winning Best of Breed at the GSPCA Nationals. What a great moment for our club. I believe we have had many of these moments in the last few years in Field Trials, Agility, Obedience, Hunt Tests, and now Rally. Please continue to be the very Best of the Best. Thank you for letting me be a part of this run as your president. If I can leave you only one thought from my presidency is that as a club we should continue to rally together with integrity and sportsmanship as our legacy. I still believe that we should congratulate every first place winner in the event that we enter in to show that sportsmanship and integrity. Lets let everyone know that this is what the Gulf Coast GSP Club is all about.

Elections coming up in the June meeting with no additions of nominations that means we have a new President. Congratulations to Kirk Bomer for taking on the job of the Gulf Coast GSP Club President. Also congratulations to Jeanine Wright (1st VP), Mark Howard (2nd VP), Tracy Black (Secretary), Jim Perrin (Treasurer), Chuck Duran and your el X presidente and new board member Gene Moseley Jr.

GCGSPC Members:

Hope everyone is getting ready for the long and hot summer. So far weather has been great with good temperatures for training. Congratulations to Harvey and Shannon Franco for Dixie’s win at the NGSPA Region 4. I’m sure we will be hearing stories soon. Don’t forget that this meeting we will be having a program on North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA). Also we will be taking nominations from the floor for officers and board members. Should be a great meeting. Same place, same time, be there.
